Believe In AT: Implementation Strategies For Early Intervention
One Day Conference for Professionals, Parents and Students
CEUs Available
BELIEVE IN ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY:
Implementation Strategies for Early Intervention
“He’s not ready.” “She’s too young.”
There is no such thing. The only way to “get ready” for assistive technology is to begin to use it. And, there are no age constraints to assistive technology. However, it takes a skilled clinician to understand how a young child can access assistive technology, decide where to start and match assistive technology to young and complicated bodies. This class will address parent buy-in, seating and positioning, switch access for complicated bodies, alternative communication and independent mobility for those ages birth to 8 years of age.
This course includes personal and professional in the field of communication and access. There will also be a hands-on Believer Lab where participants can try assistive technology equipment themselves to further understand the need and function of each piece of technology. We BELIEVE that intelligent minds and passionate hearts live in complicated bodies. Come learn how to unlock the magic within each one.
