THE BELIEVE FESTIVAL!
The second annual Believe Festival was Saturday December 2nd, 2023, and was an incredible success!! We had SO many families come out to see us and we are so grateful to see our community expand!
The goal of the Believe Festival is to give TONS of adapted toys away to children with physical motor limitations, that impact their ability to play with traditional toys. We also love having different booths run by community partners and therapists, who can educate on adapted video gaming, adapted sports/games, communication strategies and accessibility.
We could not do ANY of this without our incredible crew of volunteers. Intelligent, hardworking ATPs who assist in modifying equipment for children.. amazing, knowledgable speech therapists demonstrating communication supports...dedicated and passionate friends, families, parents sharing their talents and experiences with us... thank you will literally never be enough! We appreciate you SO much and hope you know that BELIEVE is nothing without YOU!

The 2021 Adapted Toy Giveaway
We had an amazing turnout for our December 2021 adapted toy giveaway! We had nearly 100 available toys, that had been adapted for children with physical disabilities.
New this year, we also had several booths with volunteers, providing amazing demonstrations. One booth focused on communication: we discussed how to use voice output switches (talk points and step by steps), low tech picture supports, low tech eye gaze boards, and had handouts for people to take. The booth was run by our speech and occupational therapist volunteers.
The other booths focused on teaching the parents and guardians HOW to adapt a toy. They walked through the steps and materials necessary, and some people got to leave with an extra adapted toy, they completed themselves!
Thank you to our AMAZING volunteers, and thank you to our Believe community for coming out!!
